Boulders Bush Lodge - Kruger Park - SANParks

Boulders is a rudimentary private camp 19 km from Mopani on quite a rough sand road.  A bush lodge is an exclusive, private lodge with a unique style and atmosphere providing the opportunity for tourists to enjoy complete privacy, as only residents are allowed entrance to the camp.

There are no shops or restaurant facilities, but the kitchen has a gas stove with oven, refrigerator, freezer, cutlery and crockery. Gas braais and barbecue facilities are provided and wood may be purchased. A bush lodge must be reserved en bloc. Visitors can check in at any main rest camp or gate.

Solar panels provide power for lights and fans only. In addition to the main sleeping unit which has two bedrooms and en suite bathrooms (one with a bath, the other with a shower), there are also four separate bedrooms with bathrooms (bath and shower). The nearest camp is Mopani (23 km away).

Extra information

Activities: No activities available from Boulders Bush Lodge. Guided Game Walks or Game Drives can be pre-arranged with Mopani camp subject to availability. These activities will ensure an exciting bush experience. All bookings, as well as further details for these activities are available from reception at Mopani.

Facilities: No electricity (plug points) available for appliances in units. No shop or restaurant available. No Reception office at camp. No cell phone reception available. The nearest camp is Mopani (approximately 25 km)

Wheelchair facilities: The major barrier facing a wheelchair user is that the camp is on stilts and hence a strong able bodied assistant is required to pull such people up the stairs.Once up however everything is on one level, and although the ablution facilities have no specific barrier free features, toilets and baths are easily accessed.

A non-refundable fee, payable in advance, of R34.00 per adult and R17.00 per child is charged on all advance reservations for day visits. This is charged in addition to conservation fees and applies equally to WILD members.
